Who provides the service

Workbook Inspector is provided by 42ANALYTICS LTD, company SC894722. Registered office: The Steadings, Eastern Teuchan, Peterhead, United Kingdom, AB42 0PP. For support, cancellation, refunds or complaints, email info@42analytics.co.uk.

Free and Pro

Free inspection needs no account. It includes all supported checks, the X-ray preview and a single-file report. Pro adds batch inspection, review logs and rescan comparisons for one reviewer. Team features and the CLI are not included. Workbooks and review records stay on your device; save your reports and logs before closing the inspector.

Prices and payment

Pro costs £10 per month by card, or £100 per year by card or invoice. These are the total prices; no VAT is charged. Card payments are taken through Stripe. Annual invoices have 30-day payment terms and are payable by bank transfer. Pro access starts after payment is confirmed. Choosing annual invoice creates an annual subscription and an invoice, not a request for a quote.

Where Pro is available

Pro is available to customers based in the United Kingdom and to businesses established in an EU member state that provide a VAT number verified before purchase. EU buyers must be buying for the business that owns the number. We do not currently sell Pro to EU consumers or customers based elsewhere. Free inspection remains available everywhere. Give your actual billing address and tell us before changing your country or VAT details. For eligible EU business supplies, the customer may need to account for VAT under the reverse charge.

Renewal and cancellation

Monthly plans renew each month and annual plans renew each year until cancelled. Annual invoice plans also renew automatically. We email annual subscribers a reminder about 14 days before renewal. Cancel future renewals through Your Pro account → Manage billing, or email us before renewal. Cancellation normally leaves access available until the end of the paid period. It does not by itself request a refund. Free inspection and already saved reports remain available.

14-day first-purchase refund

If Pro is not for you, email info@42analytics.co.uk within 14 days of your first paid Pro purchase and ask for a full refund. No reason or form is required. This guarantee covers both monthly and annual plans, including annual invoices. It applies to your first purchase only, not renewals or later purchases after cancelling and subscribing again. We return the full payment to the original payment method within 14 days of your request. Pro access ends when the refund is made. Your statutory rights, including any applicable cancellation or renewal refund rights, are unaffected.

Immediate access and your rights

By choosing a paid plan you ask us to start Pro as soon as payment is confirmed. You do not waive your statutory rights or the first-purchase refund guarantee. If you are a consumer, you also have any cancellation rights that apply by law. You can exercise them by a clear email or letter; no special wording is needed. If you prefer a form, send: “I cancel my Workbook Inspector Pro contract”, with your name, account email, purchase date and today’s date, to the email or registered office above.

Using the tool

Use a current supported browser with JavaScript enabled. The inspector accepts .xlsx files up to 20 MiB; Pro batches contain up to 50 files and 100 MiB in total. It checks supported stored content without running workbook code. It does not edit or clean your workbook. Review the findings, the named areas needing manual checks and the documented coverage before sharing a file. A report is evidence of the checks performed, not a guarantee that a workbook is safe to share or a malware or legal-compliance certificate.

Accounts and availability

Keep your password private and use your own reviewer account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend an account for unpaid subscriptions, misuse or a security issue; we will explain the reason where it is safe to do so. We maintain the service with reasonable care and skill. If it does not work as described, contact us so we can put it right. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your consumer rights.

Liability to business customers

This paragraph applies only where you buy Pro wholly or mainly for your trade, business, craft or profession; it does not apply to consumers. Subject to the exclusions below and to the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your Pro contract, whether in contract, delict (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, is limited to the Pro fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable to business customers for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or breach of duty, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These limits do not reduce our express refund guarantee or your entitlement to a repayment due under these terms.

Changes and complaints

We will tell you in advance about material changes affecting a paid subscription and any price change before it takes effect, so you can cancel future renewals. Changes do not remove rights you already have. Contact info@42analytics.co.uk with a complaint. These terms are governed by Scots law, without taking away mandatory protections or the right of a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts available in their home jurisdiction.
